Single Splice and Double Splice
Both groups belong to the allSMT range for SMD carrier tape joining. Compare geometry, width and application for the specific product. A product group name is not a feeder approval.
Double Splice Tapes come in several widths and variants and are applied without a joining tool. Application-specific options include alignment edges or adapted surfaces.
Clip & Splice and separate clips
Clip & Splice combines a single splice tape and splice clip on a carrier film, keeping the joining elements together for application. Separate clips and matching tools are also available.
Check the combination of clip, pliers and carrier tape. Suitability depends on the intended application.
Special feeder variants
Special shapes or surfaces can matter for tape guidance and splice detection. allSMT offers variants for different machine and feeder applications.
Confirm the exact model and its detection requirements. A metallic or black variant is not suitable for every system simply because of its appearance.
How to choose between the types
Start with technical suitability, then compare the work process: is a tool required, how is alignment achieved, which inspection is required and which ESD properties are documented for the product?
Assess the work at the actual station instead of comparing only unit price or colour. allSMT can help select a variant using your machine and carrier tape details.
